Our Story

Steve and Kristin planted their vineyard in spring 2021. With the help of family and friends, they eventually planted 7,000 grape vines at their farm in south central Michigan.

A retired veteran and an attorney, the couple spent years making wines and ciders at home and visiting wineries all over the country. Their love of wine and farming combined to create what is now Gypsy Blue Vineyards, LLC.

Steve’s Bohemian heritage and Kristin’s Hungarian heritage inspired Gypsy Blue, the love of free spirits.

Steve, with the help of their son Nicholas, makes creative and delicious wine samplings. Kristin, and their daughter Allison, help work the vineyard and grow a dizzying array of gorgeous flowers at the Fields at Gypsy Blue.

Join our family for a day at the farm, to enjoy craft Michigan wines on our wraparound porch or dog-friendly patio. Experience a picnic overlooking the vineyards, a u-pick flower bouquet, local live music, or a glass of cider while watching the variety of wildlife and birds.
